Our Machining Process

The procedure begins when you reach out to us with your pre-designed part or project. From there, we will consult with our experienced designers to finalize the pattern. If necessary, they’ll offer advice or ask questions in order to ensure that the finished product meets your needs as efficiently as possible. Once the design is ready to go, our CNC machine operators will get started.

Tooling, cut speeds and materials are carefully selected so the final product meets specifications. U.S. Precision’s Quality Control measures are followed throughout production so our clients receive exceptionally crafted parts and components.

Our CNC Milling Process

Computer Numerical Control milling, also known as CNC Machining, uses a combination of programming and machine functions to create metal parts. The system, which some described as robotic, uses computer-driven machinery to punch, slice, and engrave the parts into the proper shapes. Since computers do all of the work, the results are extremely accurate. In addition, parts made in this manner can be more complicated, as the machines have fewer limitations than other methods.

Milling machines have a spindle that moves across the x-, y-, and z-axis to drill, tap, and turn the piece of steel or other metal according to the pre-programmed pattern. Lathes also have digitally controlled planes of contact which are set up to very quickly make precise cuts to the metal.

Our Doosan Machining center

The Doosan NHP 5000 is a high-speed horizontal machining center (HMC) known for its precision and productivity. The Doosan NHP 5000 is equipped with a six-pallet system designed for a wide range of machining applications requiring high accuracy and power, particularly in industries that require high precision and superior surface finishes.
